Financial Aid
We want students to be able to take part in the masterclass whatever their background. Financial aid gives students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and regions a 50% reduction of the tuition fee of the Foundation masterclass.
Information
Talent for science is found everywhere. For many students, however, the tuition fee can be an obstacle, because of their family's situation or the economy of the region they live in. Financial aid makes it possible for them to take part in the A&A Masterclass despite limited resources. It is meant in particular for students from economically disadvantaged regions, such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Egypt, Nigeria, and Kenya. The amount of financial aid available is limited.
Financial aid is a 50% reduction of the tuition fee of the Foundation masterclass (8 weeks). Recipients receive everything that regular participants receive, including all 8 units, the quizzes and further reading, the final exam, the certificate, and the transcript.
There is no financial aid for the Advanced masterclasses, but participants who complete the Foundation masterclass with good results may be eligible for further reductions to continue. Financial aid is granted once per person, for a first enrolment only, and cannot be combined with coupons or vouchers.
To apply, applicants fill in a short form about their studies and describe their situation in a few sentences. The committee of the A&A Academic Office reviews each request and informs the applicant about the decision by email within one to two weeks.
